yummy handspindle spun

Over the summer, I spun up some merino/silk roving that I got from Ebay seller, Winderwood Farm.

I just love his color combos! Even the rovings that the colors weren't quite what I thought they would be when I saw them online spin up just gorgeous. This particular yarn ended up being a two-ply yarn spun up on various spindles I have accumulated.

This yarn was gifted to a friend for her birthday. All told I think I got about 600 yards of 2-ply from 4 ounces of roving. Not too shabby!

Just as soon as my list shrinks a bit more, I intend to use this WONDERFUL stuff for something very nice for myself. I drool over it regularly and can't wait to see it knit up. What a fabulous gift!
