What could this be?

The other night I was trying out a spindle and spun up a mini little skein of some beautiful roving. I made it into a three ply and ended up with about ten yards. What do you do with ten yards you say? Well, I started messing around and made a ring for my daughter. I knit each row from opposite ends of the skein so that I would get a little of all the colors.

Thats a cute ring. You mind sharing how you did it. I'm a little slow with figuring out patterns ~_~.

For the ring I just cast on 20 stitches on size 0 needles and then knit a purl 1 knit 1 rib all the way around. I went back and forth between the two ends of the skein so that I could get more color changes for each row. Then I just knit until it looked wide enough.
