Here is the finished knitted bag.

Here is the bag after felting... it never ceases to amaze me when I see the transformation felting causes!

Well I sent out my kit for the swap and love how it turned out. I felted a bag that I designed as I knitted. My partner said she would like a bag that went across her chest rather than hung from her wrist so I wanted to work that in and I also wanted to make a pocket that would be accesible from the outside. I made a long skinny flap that could be used to either close the top of the bag or the pocket on the front. When used to close the top, it doesn't completely cover the whole thing so that on either corner there is room to pull your sock out or have yarn coming from inside for sock knitting on the go. The way the flap closes is that I put a huge bobble on the very end which goes through a loop that I attached on the front and back of the bag.
Some other things that I found to include were a little notions box that I filled with sock knitting goodies such as circle beads that are just right for sock needles to be used for stitch markers, a little bitty stitch holder, and row counter.
